My opinion on theragun.. yes it can be used as a tool to treat an injury or muscle soreness..specifically gets bloood flowing to the area, breaks up inflammation, etc.. Is this a tool soley used to recover from an injury? Wrong it's not magically but certainly a feel good tool to add into your recovery regimen.
