We would force one of the worst players on our team to play, for the soul purpose of his throw ins. He was horrible with his feet, but because he trained so much, he could throw in a ball from almost half field. This was a devastating concern for the opponents, for it was a lethal attack every single time. We’d push all our numbers up, and we probably scored 3 times off a header, and gained several corner kicks out of it in return. Muscle is important, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I can’t tell you how many times especially as a keeper, I wished I was a bigger body for people to challenge. Whether it be in the air or a 1v1, having more strength and weight would have altered many people from attempting to make contact with me.
